Reviews & Testimonials

Allison Posner is a true musical storyteller. With a crystalline voice and a deep, intelligent approach to lyrics she has the power to take the audience (or listener) on a journey no matter what material she chooses to interpret.

Allison brings a positive energy into all of our voice over sessions. This is equally matched by her lyrical narration and the precision of her reads. She is the kind of pro that any voice studio would be thrilled to have on their go-to list.

Allison Posner acts and sings with a crystalline clarity this is uniquely hers. Her rendition of Jocelyn in Volleygirls still fills me with delight. A consummate listener, actor, and soprano, Allison brings spark and virtuosity to every moment of rehearsal and performance.

I first heard Allison sing in 2004 when we were both in part of the Hangar Theatre Lab Company, and I was immediately a fan.  She has a warm, expressive, beautiful voice, which she uses to do way more than just make a pretty sound; when Allison sings she is embodying a character, telling a story, and putting emotional heft behind each phrase. As a composer who writes music that sits, for better or worse, towards the more challenging end of the spectrum, I know to hold fast to singers like Allison with the musicality and work ethic to sing a difficult score accurately and confidently. And on top of all that, she's just a delight to spend time with.

Allison always brings an open heart into the room with her, fully engaging with the work with deep curiosity and endless joy!

Allison is pure joy to work with and has been a frequent voiceover artist at our studios.  Her versatility and ability to bring a book to life  - from a heartbreaking reading of Anne Frank’s diary to the children’s classic Make Way for the Ducklings - is exciting to watch and be a part of.
